About ZYAM
The business trades as ZYAM and operates as a service-area business based in Johannesburg, South Africa. For privacy and POPIA enquiries, contact admin@zyam.co.za.
Project enquiries
When you submit a project enquiry, ZYAM receives the name, business name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, selected service, budget range and project description that you provide. This information is stored in an access-restricted lead record and used to review, deliver and respond to your enquiry.
The website uses Netlify for hosting and Netlify Blobs for enquiry record storage. Enquiry details are sent through the website’s server-side enquiry service to Make for delivery processing. Netlify’s configured function region is in the United States, and the configured Make endpoint is in its EU zone. This involves processing outside South Africa. They are not included in analytics events. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing.
If you choose an email or WhatsApp link, your message is handled by the relevant email providers or WhatsApp under their own terms and privacy practices. These external contact options are separate from the website form.
Google Analytics and cookies
ZYAM uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand website usage and which pages and traffic sources lead to enquiries. Analytics can collect page visits, interaction events, approximate location, device and browser information, referral sources and cookie-based identifiers. Google processes this usage information. Google Analytics sets analytics cookies to distinguish browsers and visits; these are not the contact details submitted in the enquiry form.
Our enquiry events distinguish opening the form from a successful submission. They use page context, selected service category and contact method, not your name, email address, phone number, budget or project message. A successful submission event measures an enquiry received by the website, not a qualified sale.
You can use browser controls to block cookies or analytics requests, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on where supported. Blocking analytics does not prevent an enquiry. This website does not currently provide a cookie consent preference panel. See Google’s privacy policy for its processing practices.
Enquiry protection and privacy contact
The hidden company-website field is used to detect automated spam. Basic request-rate controls may also process technical request information temporarily to protect the enquiry service.
Retention
Enquiry information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and where retention is otherwise required or permitted for legitimate legal, contractual, accounting or operational purposes.
Your information and complaints
You may request access to your personal information or ask for correction or deletion, subject to applicable law. Send your request to admin@zyam.co.za, explaining the request without including unnecessary sensitive information. We may need to verify your identity before providing information or changing a record.
You may complain about personal-information processing to South Africa’s Information Regulator, including by email to POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za. Its website provides the current complaint procedure.
